500 ml, 1 L, 2 L or 5 L Oil: Choosing Your Pack Size

Choosing between a 500 ml bottle and a 5 L can starts with how much oil your household uses and where you will store it. A larger pack is not automatically the right choice for every customer.

Understand the volumes

  • 500 ml is half a litre.
  • 1 L is equivalent to two 500 ml packs.
  • 2 L is equivalent to four 500 ml packs.
  • 5 L is equivalent to ten 500 ml packs.

Compare price per litre

Divide the price by the volume in litres. For a 500 ml pack, multiply its price by two to compare it with a 1 L pack. For a 5 L can, divide the price by five. Use the current product-page price because prices can change.

For example, Groundnut Oil is currently ₹275 for 500 ml, equivalent to ₹550 per litre, and ₹2,599 for 5 L, equivalent to ₹519.80 per litre. Delivery charges can affect the final comparison, so check the checkout total.

Match the pack to your routine

Consider your rate of use, the product label dates, your available storage space and how easy the pack is to handle. Follow the storage instructions on the delivered label. ADDS lists a shelf life of one year; do not assume that buying a larger volume changes the shelf life.

Check bottle and can images carefully

ADDS product galleries include bottle and 5 L can packaging mockups. The selected variant determines the quantity you order. If a displayed image and selected volume leave you unsure, contact us before checkout.
